No two projects are the same, and neither is the way we support them.

Some organisations need extra capability embedded into their team, fast. Others want a partner to take ownership of delivery. Sometimes the brief is still evolving. Sometimes it’s locked in and needs to be delivered with certainty.

At FSC, we’ve shaped four clear ways of working to match where you are and what you need. Each model is designed to give you the right balance of control, flexibility and accountability… without unnecessary complexity.

Secondment

Your team, our people.

When you need capability quickly, secondment is the most direct path.

One of our engineers is deployed inside your organisation. Same office, same tools, fully embedded in your team. They integrate into your systems and ways of working, contributing from day one without the delays of recruitment or onboarding.

This model works best when you have a clear need for additional capacity or specific expertise, but want to retain full control of delivery. It’s particularly effective for bridging resource gaps, supporting peak workloads, or bringing in experience your team doesn’t currently have.

Secondment isn’t just about filling a seat, it’s about adding capability in a way that feels seamless. Our people are selected not only for their technical expertise, but for their ability to adapt, collaborate and hit the ground running.

Managed Service

Your project, our delivery engine.

When you want to stay focused on outcomes, not day-to-day delivery, a managed service model gives you that separation.

We take ownership of a defined scope or workstream, resourcing it, delivering it, and reporting back to you. You maintain visibility and oversight, without needing to manage the detail.

This approach is built for efficiency and accountability. We bring the right team, structure and processes to deliver consistently, while you stay focused on the bigger picture.

It’s particularly valuable when internal teams are stretched, or when a piece of work benefits from being handled as a standalone stream. Rather than distributing effort across multiple priorities, we create a dedicated delivery engine around your project.

Consulting

Expert advice, as flexible as your scope.

Not every project starts with a fully defined brief. In many cases, the challenge is still taking shape, and that’s where our consulting services step in.

We work alongside you to provide expert advice as your scope evolves, helping you test ideas, define direction and make informed decisions. Throughout, we maintain full transparency over hours and costs, so you stay in control as the work develops.

This model is designed for flexibility. Whether you need strategic input, technical guidance or short-term problem solving, we can scale our involvement up or down as needed.

Consulting is often the starting point for more complex engagements. It allows you to move forward with confidence, knowing you’re making the right decisions before committing to delivery.

Fixed Outcome

Scope and cost certainty.

When the brief is well defined, certainty matters.

In a fixed outcome model, we agree the scope upfront and deliver to a fixed price. From day one, you know what you’re getting and what it will cost, with FSC taking on the delivery risk.

This approach is best suited to projects with clear requirements, defined outputs and limited ambiguity. It provides confidence for planning and budgeting, while ensuring accountability sits with us.

Behind the scenes, we apply the same discipline, expertise and delivery focus as any other model – but with the added commitment of cost certainty.

For you, that means fewer variables and no surprises.

Choosing the right model

The right way of working depends on where your project sits today – not where it started, and not where it might end up.

In practice, many engagements evolve over time. A project might begin in a consulting capacity, move into managed delivery, or require secondment support at key stages. Our models are as flexible as we are, and are designed to adapt as your needs change.

What stays consistent is our approach: practical, transparent and focused on outcomes.
