Fishermans Beach is Torquay’s primary boat launching facility. With rapidly increasing pedestrian thoroughfare through the facility, and degrading infrastructure, FSC was approached to formalise the carpark and improve safety for all users. We developed several concept designs suitable for community consultation and discussed these with stakeholders in workshops. Considerations for the design included an improved carpark surface, surface drainage, WSUD, vehicle circulation (whilst maximising carparks) and universal access.
