FSC were engaged to develop suitable temporary works methodology for replacing the bearings of two heritage road bridges in Sydney. FSC performed an options assessment to determine the best approach to jack the bridge to allow for bearing replacement.
The approach adopted minimised disruption to the local community during construction, removed all utility diversions and minimized risk of utility strike, minimised temporary works hire, greatly improved access to bearings for remediation, and removed risk of vehicle strike of temporary works.
