Mount Oberon Carpark Road had deteriorated significantly, showing signs of pavement and shoulder deformation including cracking, compaction, shoving and potholes. Landslides have also developed within the upper road cuts.

FSC were engaged by Parks Victoria to conduct a Level 2 inspection of the road alignment. This included assessing 15 identified pothole locations, any new features or processes affecting pavement or embankment integrity, and five lower embankment retaining walls. Additionally, FSC was tasked with providing recommendations for further geotechnical assessment and creating a construction design for a gabion wall and swell drain to remediate an existing upper embankment landslide.
