North East Link Secondary Package
The North East Link represents the largest investment ever in Melbourne’s north-east. As part of this program, the Secondary Package includes significant upgrades to the Eastern Freeway, including the Burke Road to Tram Road project, the first of three projects which comprise the North East Link – Eastern Freeway Upgrades.
Works include an interchange with the Primary Package, a full freeway to freeway interchange with the Eastern Freeway, additional lanes including express lanes, construction of the Doncaster Busway connecting Doncaster, a new bridge at Bulleen, an expedited park-and-ride facility in Bulleen, civil infrastructure, noise walls and urban design features, and new and upgraded cycling infrastructure including Shared User Path improvements with two additional bridges.
Services Provided
- Compliance activities - weekly inspections and SER inspections
- Onsite environmental management including management of onsite permits
- Rectification of Project GIS arboricultural data for Bulleen South Precinct
- Preparation of hold point documents, such as Tree Removal and Protection Plans and Monthly Unavoidable Works Notification
- SEP and WEMP updates, including management of subcontractors to produce documentation to a standard which reflected works and could be accepted by the client.
