Princess Highway East Road Upgrade
The Princes Highway East Road Upgrade project (Phase 3) was the final phase of a decade-long duplication project through the Latrobe Valley, enhancing road safety on a significant piece of state infrastructure. Phase 3 included the Flynn, Kilmany and as well as construction of a rail underpass (Kilmany section) and multiple intersection upgrades.
Services Provided
- FSC undertook the assessment of aggregate materials for subsequent re-use and soil classification works across all three portions of the project
- A total of 250,000m3 of soil was classified for on-site/off-site re-use with no material requiring disposal
- FSC also acted as the environmental/sustainability manager throughout the TOC/development phase and into project delivery for the Flynn and Kilmany East projects
