The project involved removing two level crossings at Union Road, Surrey Hills, and Mont Albert Road, Mont Albert, by lowering the rail line into an open trench and constructing a new premium station.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Prior to FSC’s engagement, the project team had a strained relationship with Melbourne Water (MW) due to poor communication and works impacting on MW assets. FSC implemented fortnightly construction meetings to update MW on construction work and future permit requirements, with all works and approvals impacting MW communicated solely through FSC. Better interface management and communication revived the relationship with MW, with the Level Crossing Removal Project commending the team for their collaboration with the authority.
