The Western Green Energy Hub is a proposal to build 50GW upstream wind/solar which equates to ~3.6MTPA of green hydrogen downstream. A major port development is required in remote WA to facilitate the export of the green hydrogen.

WGEH Pty Ltd (WGEH) plans to develop a major export-orientated green fuel hub at a site in southeast Western Australia. InterContinental Energy (ICE) has been appointed as the Project Delivery Partner for the development. This feasibility assessment included an overview of the proposed infrastructure, design criteria and requirements, options studies and MCA, concept design of a preferred option and a project schedule. The study also concludes with a cost estimate to class 5 using the AACE International's classification system. Risks and opportunities and next steps are captured to guide future stages of the study.

The design consisted of MOF berths, a hardstand/staging area around the berths, and an access channel.
